Central Region

Characterized by mountains massifs and traditional villages. By the sea, fishing villages and cosmopolitan beaches and water sports mark the rhythm of the days. And everywhere the ancient heritage proudly displays the history of the region.
Given the importance of these places for humanity, many of them were included by UNESCO on the World Heritage list, as are the Monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalha, the Convent of Christ in Tomar and the University of Coimbra.
